The air is cooling and the apples are ripening! It’s Apple Picking Season! Grab your friends, partners, mothers, brothers and join us on our Apple Picking Day Trip from NYC!

The perfect way to enjoy a day of apple picking near New York. On this day trip we’ll head out to Pennings Orchard in New York State where you will have the opportunity to stroll through the magnificent and plentiful orchard. Find your favorite apple and stock up – or grab a medley! Each guest is welcome to pick 10 pounds of apples to take home. If you’ve got a few apple pies in the pipeline you can always opt to purchase extra on the day.

Once you’ve picked the perfect bunch of sweet apples, head over to the family owned and run Cidery to grab a glass of their award winning cider, or try a whole flight. Also be on the lookout of their pizza truck out front! If cider and pizza are not your thing, you can wander over Farmers Market and check out the attached Beer Garden. The Farmer’s Market also offers a Pub where you can order a tasty bite.

The Cidery & Farmer’s Market with its Beer Garden are just a few minutes walk from the Apple Orchard itself. Between the options, you should have no problem filling your afternoon after you finish picking apples!

After a day of apple picking and relaxing, we’ll head back into the city in time for dinner. Make sure you listen to your leader about when to be back on the bus!

Apple Picking

Is lunch included?

No, lunch is not included. We recommend packing your own or purchasing nibbles at the farmers market, pizza truck or other options.
Are there other fruits to pick?

This is an apple lover’s heaven! There may be other fruits and vegetables available, but it depends when you go and is very dependent on availability.
How many apples can I pick?

10 pounds! Apples for days!
Can I purchase extra apples?

Absolutely! You can purchase and pick extra apples on the day.
How much time do we spend at the farm?

Depending on what departure you choose in the morning from New York, we’ll spend about 5 hours at the farm including time for apple picking, eating and drinking.

Listen to your leaders for instructions on one time to meet back on the bus!

Fine Print

Local day trips are nonrefundable. No full or partial refunds are given to customers who miss the event. In the event of a cancellation by the operator, your ticket will be fully refunded. Event subject to change/cancellation based on weather/river/snow level conditions. All trips run rain or shine; in the unlikely event of a cancellation you will be notified via email. Bus only or transportation only fares are non-cancellable. There are no reschedules or refunds for missing the bus or no-shows. Each ticket is good for one (1) person, unless specified otherwise. Trips involving alcohol are 21+ , valid ID required. All other trips are 18+. The deal is valid only for tickets on the date[s] of the event as listed and may not be exchanged or redeemed for any other dates. Provided transportation by Sourced Adventures is required; you may not drive yourself. Deposits are non-refundable. For local trips that are bookable with deposits the balance will be charged 10 days prior to departure. If booked within 10 days of departure the balance will be charged within 24 hours of booking.
