When to arrive at the terminal
Our recommended arrival times are meant to allow plenty of time to check-in (with or without baggage) and get squared away before scheduled departure.
- Scheduled service – 30 to 40 min.

Our Flexible Fare means more options and more flexibility. Request a full refund or make changes to your trip…without a fee.
*All refunds and schedule changes to an eligible itinerary must be made prior to departure. Trip rescheduling is only available between the original origin and destination. Changes in fare may apply.

Our Saver Fare means the lowest fare available anywhere online. This fare is non-refundable and rescheduling fees will be incurred for any modification to your itinerary.
The rescheduling fee for a Saver Fare is $20 (if you use your online account to complete the reissue). Additionally, customers are responsible for any positive difference in fare at the time of re-booking. Rescheduling is also possible by contacting our Customer Care Center or visiting a full service station near you.

What is the Half Fare Program?
The National Mass Transit Act of 1974 requires that certain routes operated by certain carriers receiving Federal Transit Administration subsidies maintain a standing policy that offers a 50% fare discount for senior citizens and people with disabilities during our off-peak hours.
Who qualifies for Half Fare?
Citizens age 65 and over, individuals with a disability benefit and Medicare cardholders are entitled to ride for half-fare on Trailways fixed route service (as specified below).
How is the Half Fare calculated?
The half fare is available on one-way or round-trip undiscounted fares only. It is NOT available on fares for which discounts already apply, such as 10-Trips, monthly, or weekly passes, etc.
Where is the Half Fare available?
Trailways fixed routes that are eligible for half fare during off-peak hours are:
- Albany (and points between) Warrensburg
- Albany (and points between) Kingston
- Albany (and points between) Newburgh
- Albany (and points between) Gloversville
- Kingston (and points between) New York
- Kingston (and points between) White Plains
Half Fares are not available on any other routes
When is the Half Fare available?
Half Fares are available on the bus routes during Off-Peak hours. Peak hours are defined as weekday travel (Monday-Friday) from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 7:29 p.m.
All other travel on the listed bus routes, including travel on weekends, is considered Off-Peak, and Half Fare is available.
Proof of Eligibility for Half Fare Ticket?
Passengers must provide proof of eligibility for Half Fare tickets at both time of purchase and time of boarding. Passengers must be 65 years of age or certified as having a disability benefit in order to receive a ticket at half-fare.
Passengers must be able to show proof of age by providing a:
- Government Issued Picture ID, such as a Driver’s License, or non-drivers ID with date of birth
- Medicare Card
If your proof does not include a picture ID, a supplemental government issued picture ID, such as Driver’s License, or non-drivers ID must also be presented.

Passengers must be able to show proof of a disability benefit under:
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Veterans Administration (VA) Disability
- Medicare Card
If your proof of disability benefit does not include a picture ID, then a Government Issued Picture ID, such as Driver’s License, or Non-Driver’s ID must also be presented.
How to obtain Half Fare ticket?
Half Fare tickets are available on select routes, and from select Trailways carriers. Must see a Trailways ticket agent and present an acceptable proof of eligibility. Half Fare tickets are not available online.

Available from select member carriers on select routes, these Multi-Ride deals are valid for a single passenger to travel one-way or return trip. Booklets of ten tickets are available at discounted prices for most of our destinations.
A ten-ticket booklet that is
• valid for 15 days is sold at a 30% discount off our regular fare,
• valid for 30 days is sold at a 25% discount off our regular fare,
• valid for 60 days is sold at a 20% discount off our regular fare, or
• valid for 90 days is sold at a 15% discount off our regular fare.In addition to the discounted routes listed above, Trailways of New York offers a ten-ticket booklet (valid for 180 days for travel to and from New York, NY) that can be purchased for 10% off the standard one-way fare.

Available from member carrier, Trailways of New York, passengers who live in New York's Hudson Valley or New York, NY may purchase monthly and weekly commuter passes. Commuter passes are only available for travel between Kingston, Rosendale, New Paltz, and New York, NY.

- Weekly Pass: $219 – valid for 7 consecutive days
- Between Rosendale and NYC
- Monthly Pass: Monthly: $628– valid for 1 calendar month
- Weekly Pass $206 – valid for 7 consecutive days
- Between New Paltz and NYC
- Monthly Pass: Monthly $568- valid for 1 calendar month
- Weekly Pass: $182 – valid for 7 consecutive days
*The Monthly Pass is valid for 42 one-way trips.

Children's fares may be available for children aged 2 - 16 depending on carrier, as well as free travel for children under two. Please see list below for participating carriers and their child fare policies:
Adirondack, New York, & Pine Hill Trailways
- One child under two may ride for free on the lap of an adult per adult ticket purchased.
- Children aged 2 – 16 may save up to 20% off the regular adult fare when accompanied by a qualifying adult. Children’s fare tickets may not be purchased without the accompanying purchase of an adult fare ticket. Only two children’s fare tickets can be purchased per adult fare ticket in the same order. Children's fares will only apply to those fares that permit such reduction.
- Passengers aged 17+ will be charged the adult fare.
- Trailways of New York reserves the right to require proof of age.
