As a Diesel Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our modern fleet of motor coaches, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services throughout New York State and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems of motor coaches.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop setting.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year’s experience in the mechanical industry, preferably with a focus on diesel vehicles
• Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues and repairing diesel systems.
• Availability for 1st shift training with flexibility for 2nd shift work including holidays and weekends.
• Possess own basic tools required for the job.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical examination.
• Valid NYS driver's license.

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and repairing our modern fleet of motor coaches, ensuring ensure safe and efficient transportation services throughout New York State and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Performing welding and fabrication tasks on various motor coach components, including frames, body panels, and structural elements.
• Inspecting, testing, repairing, and making necessary adjustments to welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

• 3 or more years as an Auto Body Mechanic with strong welding skills, preferably in the motor coach or school bus industry.
• Availability for the 1st shift, (7:30am-4:00pm) and a 5-day work-week which can and must include weekends and holidays.

Trailways of New York, a prominent family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is currently seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team at the Pine Hill/New York Trailways Fleet Maintenance Facility in Kingston, NY.

As a Diesel Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our modern fleet of motor coaches, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services throughout New York State and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems of motor coaches.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop setting.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year’s experience in the mechanical industry, preferably with a focus on diesel vehicles
• Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues and repairing diesel systems.
• Availability for 1st shift training with flexibility for 2nd shift work including holidays and weekends.
• Possess own basic tools required for the job.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical examination.
• Valid NYS driver's license.
• Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
