Trailways of New York Goes Pet-Friendly, Allowing Customers to Travel with Their Small Furry Friends

Trailways of New York has announced a new pet-friendly policy aimed at allowing customers to travel with small dogs and cats. The company will become New York’s first major bus carrier to allow passengers to add a pet to their travel itinerary, with all passengers able to add a pet to their purchase when making a reservation.
“Over 100 million American households have a dog or cat. And, of that – over half are small pets. [1][2] We’ve been listening to our customers in cities such as New York City, Buffalo, New York, Rochester, and Syracuse – and many of them have small pets they need to travel with,” said Alex Berardi, President of Trailways.com. “We understand that pets are part of the family, and this new policy allows passengers to bring their furry companions along when they need to travel while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for everyone on board,” he continued.
The move makes Trailways the first and only major bus carrier in New York State to accommodate pets. It underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to providing affordable, convenient, and reliable transportation for all passengers, even four-legged family members.
